Adding some energy!

In our Visual effects class in second year we where joined by Jonny Lynn and he was able to set us up with some great VFX tutorials of his own with After Effects in Adobe. Sadly though I was unable to reach my AE account during my duration of school as my laptop could not handle the Adobe App at this time and in a different country, but I was still able to play around with green screen effects in Adobe Premiere!

As you can see here I wanted to add a ball of energy to play around with in my hands for a short clip. I really enjoyed the simplicity of using the green screen / ultra key effect with premiere and was happy enough with how my short video came out.

With this I used a copyright free green screen ball of energy and a little sound effect to help the realism of the effect come through. I am no professional with visual effects but I am happy with how the movements in the ball, and the movements within my hands work with each other. I did this by key framing every movement that my hands had in relation to the ball and in the end I think I was able to successfully amuse myself with a small ball of blue energy.

Below you can find a screenshot of what the work area looked like while adding the green screen over top of my original video.
